This series of twelve hard and soft ground etchings, variously incorporate aquatint, chine colle and mixed media. The work is conceptually multi-layered. The focus is sleep through which identity is examined by using the framework of the female form. Using a cyclical format, restriction, confinement and freedom are explored alongside absence, presence and the relationship of neither/nor. My influences include the etchings of Baselitz, Walker and Orozco.
