The beginning of the year is often a time when people tend to get a bit dispirited.

To counteract this we are holding an exhibition of work that has as its focal point the theme of optimism. Pamela Schilderman uses hand painted polystyrene balls and punched holes to create an installation that cherishes notions of individuality and repetition.

Tom Goddard creates unique computer drawn characters that have a powerful naivety. Kate Sully’s ‘Grounded’ installation explores notions around childlike wonder. Illustrator Victoria Scott depicts humorous social situations.

Sarah Davies is using the corridor gallery to create an ambience with light. Lu Mason creates uplifting 3d mobiles Nick Holmes’s paintings and constructions are a response to post-modern art and its history, fame and celebrity, technology and the infinite expansion of information.

Kevin Hunt changes the context of specific objects so that they are open to re-interpretation. There will also be 4 leaf clovers for sale, made by artists Yoke & Zoom.
