Megan Owenson

My art practice is primarily focused on the complex nature of the mind. Via installation and process drawing I hope to understand and explore the complex environments and the limitations that our minds perceive. My work is grounded heavily in materials and processes, working with leathers, papers and inks in varying weights, textures and shades so as to draw the viewers in. I believe that thoughts are environments that our minds walk through and vision is our main aid. My work relies upon a view of plausible truth; my audience can choose to take or to deny as they choose.
