Salamander
Sabine secured funding from Arts Council Yorkshire to develop three site sensitive installations especially for Crescent Art's gallery, which is is situated in the basement of the town’s art gallery.

Salamander
The three site-specific textile works by Hull based artist Sabine Jeanne Bieli reflect on the fragility of life and a world that is constantly in the process of being made.

Organ
‘The warp, as a not yet fully materialized tissue, hovers somewhere between matter and thought. To me, its fragility and strength are a metaphor of life.’

Twlight - Organ
These simple geometric forms echo those of nature, yet they fill the man-made space with their visual resonance. It brings to mind the latest scientific concept of string Theory, which suggests that everything is made out of tiny strings vibrating in the fourth dimension. The binary nature of weaving led to the development of computers and the creation of cyberspace a world of immateriality.

Twilight
All of them are influence by the elementary beauty of the stretched warp on a loom, resembling a stringed instrument.

Twilight
This type of exhibit has probably not been seen before in northern England and will provide a stimulating and new experience for visitors.
