PVC armchair with orange cushions, teak sideboard with bowls of fruit & nuts that nobody ate, dates in oval wooden boxes, walnuts in shells, oranges, tins of Quality Street.
A silver tinsel Christmas tree with coloured lights, balloons, paper chains, the grand table centrepiece with fake snow covered pine cones and a big red candle, red crepe paper tablecloth, advocaat snowballs with maraschino cherries, party-packs of beer, ‘Pink Lady’ wine with Christmas Dinner (not lunch), paper hats, paper ‘open-out’ decorations, Christmas cards with puppies wearing hats, record player with Pinky & Perky Christmas songs, Christmas TV Times with Val Doonican Christmas show on the cover, latest presents; Sindy’s horse.
The Six Million Man, Wombles, hand knitted jumpers & woolly hats, presents in garish paper on the even more garish carpet. Stockings hanging up on the teak gas fire (dad’s old brown socks).
