Description:

A guided drawing workshop where we will connect with the natural world around us and find wonder in the details. There will be drawing exercises that help us to notice and experience nature in a different way. After a short chat at the beginning, we will walk through Valley Gardens to the sea and back, looking and drawing on the way.

Pay As You Feel

The tickets are available at a ‘pay what you feel’ rate to make things more accsessible, including some free tickets.

Artists bio:

Rachel Welford is an artist with over 30 years experience of working with the community on creative projects. She specialises in drawing and the creation of glass artworks and is fascinated by the changing light over the sea and horizon.

We will start and end our journey in A Space to Be, in Scarborough Art Gallery, where free refreshments will be available.

You do not need to have any previous experience , the workshop is open and available to all.

This is the first in a series of Walkshop inspired by the project ‘Map It Well’ is a project created by a creative group, facilitated by artist Luke Beech, Crescent Arts Curator, Martha Cattell, Scarborough Museums Trust Special Projects Curator, Dorcas Taylor and NHS staff.

The workshop will be starting and ending at Scarborough Art Gallery, which is Wheelchair accessible, apart from toilets, the closet are at the next door venue of Woodend.
