The Queer Infoshop bring an interactive life drawing session, where we will not only be drawing the ‘model’, but discussing what makes them more than just their physical representation. It will be a chance to build your drawing practice in new and exciting ways, meet new people and a chance to discuss and chat.

How do we view ourselves?
When do we feel most comfortable?
How do we outwardly present ourselves and does it match up with what people see?
We are more than just flesh, and we will be experimenting how we can illustrate this through life drawings.

For our first session on the 8th of August we welcome our model, Scarborough based artist Imogen Sophia to share their story and sit with us as we draw. They will be wearing outfits, masks, sculptures from their own practice. To find out more about Imogen Sophia head to their website: https://www.imogensophia.com
If you are interested in being a model at a future interest please get in touch with Hannah at: hannah@crescentarts.co.uk

This event is part of Crescent Arts Queer Infoshop so what is it all about?
The Queer Infoshop is a stand alone, self managed, pop up radical community space, accessible for all ages and all members of the queer community. A space to get involved in a wide range of diverse workshops, or a space for queer individuals to meet, share and exchange ideas, or even just to relax!
We want to begin an open and honest queer dialouge in Scarborough that’s severely lacking in opportunities for LGBTQ+ folk of all ages. To appeal to all ages, we’ve programmed three workshops of a stripped back DIY nature so anyone at any skill level can come along.
